At Hauser again today for a fitting on the roll cage just to make sure there will be enough clearance and headroom and to see how they are progressing. They have had a few people off sick and have been short staffed so haven't got as far as they would have liked but you will see from the photos that it is still moving forward

Some cheap Japanese labour turned up to give a hand!!

Image

Some dodgy yardies hanging around the car

Image

I didn't mind him falling asleep in the car but soon as he started to dribble enough was enough!!

Image

After banging his head in the door a few times he agreed to clear up the dribble

Image

Even with a 13 stone bloke like me in the car there was still plenty of room

Some good news is that I think I have sourced an engine through a engine builder in the states although will need to save some pennies before ordering. It's a 400 cubic inch small block that will be tuned to run 900bhp on pump gas and 1300bhp on race fuel, the engine comes complete with a F2 Pro charger and near enough ready to go - happy days :D

Driving a fast Jap import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay.

13 stone??

Post by Stuart »

The car will be legendary in our small part of the World, and rightly so, well done Fil 8)

Great to see Mark and the guys helping you out. Friends like those etc etc......

I know this is probably the million dollar question but have you set any sort of ETA?

(The new engine sounds superb by the way)

It's the crash helmet - it's too small and makes me look heavier

Mark and Paul have been great helping out wherever they can and researching, their knowledge is priceless and much appreciated

To answer the million dollar question, I hope to be racing next season but the budget for the rebuild is massive and as always it depends on pennies

I look forward to helping Mark and supporting him when he starts racing this season as it takes my mind off mine and helps remind me why I want to do this
