Cobra spitting flames

Post by Tommy »

Here's my mate's Cobra (he's also the co-owner of the 328i track car) spitting some flames for your viewing pleasure!

Two things

1) Why is the Youtube link in Japanese?

2) This is very similar to a certain person posting videos of his static car with its flamer kit/ ALS system in a car park. I thought that video was poorly considered, bearing in mind the ethos of the site and this is barely any better. At least it wasn't your car or you'd have got a right bollocking ;)

No idea why it's in Japanese. This was done in his own garage so he only has his own neighbours to upset ;) Also, there's no flamer kit, this is as the car is in its state of tune so it can't be switched off and on. The video was put up just to amuse. We have a track car. We understand the ethos of the site. We're just a bit childish

Nothing wrong with being childish........I work with Bladey so I see that a lot :D

The reason I am, and always have been, so sensitive about this style of video is simply that the public who are not sympathetic to our forum or our ethos, could view such a post and assume that is a snapshot of who 'we' are and how 'we' conduct ourselves.

Taken out of context, videos like these can be damaging. However I should also consider that tree hugging, carbon footprint hating, public transport loving fuckwits are one of the reasons this sight exists in the first place, so sod them all to hell :thumb:

I'd like to see them try and get flames on the over run out of their Prius

It's a Ford 351 Windsor stroked to 427. Fully forged internals and low compression build. I think the previous owner who actually commissioned the build had ideas of a supercharger. Here's some photos from his winter clean of the car:
