All 15 year old cars have rust somewhere or other but I try my best to keep on top of it, I'm just about to have two new chassis rails fitted next week more to do with captive nut problems than rust, But it is the fact that rust has weakened the welds that has made them come free of their mountings.

I will also have to have a new sill on the passenger side because the previous owner managed to bend it somehow or other :? , I'll have both sills repainted at the same time

, But the car is mostly very solid because I spent 16 months stripping the underside and repainting it about 5 years ago.

Good maintenance and vigilance is the key as always

Your's is rather amazing though looks awesome, what speeds do you think you will be getting on 1/4 mile?

I don't plan on doing to much drag racing to be honest, Would be nice to make it into the 11'sthough. The fastest the car has done so far is 12.3 for the 1/4 mile with a 1.6 second 60ft time, But that was a few years ago now when I was running 311 bhp and a standard turbo.

357 bhp is just a starting point as it's only running one bar at the moment, The turbo hasn't even started to get going at those levels lol.

I plan to do another 500 miles or so with a couple more oil changes then stick some good quality oil in it, Then I'll take it back to Wallace and see how close we can get to 2 bar and 500 bhp.

Youe car is very tidy. Credit to you mate. As you say preventative maintenance etc is the key.
Any feedback on the front diff yet?
