........Feck there is a lot to do, especially when we should be completing on a new property between now and the first TA!

Brief list
Repair heads

Rebuild long block
Fabricate new inlet manifold
Finish swirl pot setup
Finish cage installation
Re spray areas that are damaged due to cage etc
Install engine in car
Alter existing fuel lines to suit new setup incl fuel cooler
Install new brake lines and bias valve (fit of temper ripped the oem stuff out in 5 mins)
Replace front discs on AP 6 pots
Remove r160 rear hubs (no longer have diff to suit)
Install R180 rear diff and hubs, shafts and brakes
Respray front bumper due to crap work originally, thats now like a pepperpot
Make a Splitter
Fit Neetronics diff controller (presently nothing)
Fit gearbox oil cooler to complement Spec C DCCD box

given up, jesus, there is more!!

Why oh why in a fit of "i have had enough" did i strip and sell so much of the car!!!!

What is it, seven weeks?

Once again, good luck

Steven

It is dis- heartening hen you put hours on end in - chin up onto a new season - get your car sorted bigger and better , onwards and upwards

Its an expensive do, always something - you need a evo next !!! lol

Barrie

Last year was so disheartening, first the failure at Donnington due to the dog box interlocker being crap, and me selecting 1st from 8500rpm in 2nd! Result, one destroyed engine. Second the oil cooler hose bursting at Silverstone resulting in a big fire, and damage to the engine again. The final straw was the night before Knockhill, when 1st decided to lock up on the output shaft just as i selected 5th at 165mph! Result, a lock up and another destroyed engine, plus box, plus clutch.

Last year cost a fortune, and that was it, i had given enough time and money to the cause and i was neglecting my business. So i started selling stuff.

Over Christmas i decided i was going to keep the car, and just after Autosport i started on preparing the car ready for this season.

Will try take some pics of where the car is at, and keep you updated.

Duncan, no probs re splitting the thread. I thought i had been on the beer and forgotten i had started a thread :D

The car stood in my dads barn from Knockhill untill Christmas when i had to move it back home, as he has sold the farm, so lost all my facilities such as ramp and space.

You can see in the pics where the flywheel left the crank, and the damage its done, including destroying the oil pump at the other end of the crank!

Nasty pics :o

What was the cause of the wrong gear selection ? Is it pilot error or a result of quickshift / gearbox / selector issues?
