Rolling Stones' Bill Wyman

Post by Gerry H »

In nearby Wavendon, Milton Keynes is The Stables, a live music venue. I go from time to time as they have some good artists visit there. Anyway, this afternoon (evening was sold out) was Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. Corny name I thought but out of curiosity to see the old Stone in person, booked the tickets.

I can only say it was the best gig I've ever been to. Nine first class musicians, Four guitarists, two saxophonists, drums & keyboards and a girl vocalist with a fantastic voice. At the end they got a standing ovation that saw everyone in the audience (the place was full) on their feet. It was so good that as soon as we arrived back home, I checked his website to see the band is touring the UK from Aberdeen to Cornwall, inc. Norwich and Iswich. So, I've booked tickets for their Northampton gig.

Can't recommend them highly enough if you like 'good' music played by bloody good musicians.

you cant beat proper musicians playing proper instruments. None of these modern day so called musicians.

I used to go to our local pub for any old live band - proper stuff, 2 guitars and drums type music - love it.
