I've just spoken with John Sharp, Comp. Secx. for Borough 19, about the Shakedown Sprint at North Weald.
These should be posted out next week for the event on 2nd March.
Interestingly, the Sunday Market, which caused the course re-arrangement after 2005, is now on Saturdays. This means, that the course for this year will revert to the <2005 layout. So, those of us who were just getting the hang of NW and all those who will be there for the first time, are on a level playing field (so to speak)

As I remember it, the course starts with a long straight, with a kink half way down, then an off-set roundabout, back down the straight to the kink, a long left turn leads onto the main runway, quick blaast to a coned left U-turn, zap back again to a coned right U-turn followed by another hard 90 right and a blat to the finish. Crossing the finish deposits you on the Paddock side of the fence, a couple of hundred yards from the main Paddock. Only down side is, you don't get the long, slow, drive back to your parking place.
I think, it's a longer course, so further to walk when you get there

For those who may want to enter, for the first time, PM me and I'll let you have John's contact number for regs. You will of course need to have your MSA licence available for signing on plus, suit, helmet, etc. as discussed in another thread.
Only four weeks Sunday, so time to get a move on.
