Mapping day, this thursday
ok been a right bitch of a day since the minute i got up to find there was no milk for my coffee to the minute i got back home, so im keeping this short
arrived at Andy.F`s 2 hours late after a lorry blew over and the road was closed leaving a six mile tail back with me at the wrong end of it :roll:
eventually andy got started doing his buisness setting up the simtek anti lag and duel maps, we hit the road to do the first map which was on v-power managed 360/370BHP @ 1.3 bar before andy noticed the EGT temparture was going through the roof, no probs probably a dodgy thermostat, we limped back to his place stopping three times to let the car cool down, he did a few things topped up the water as it seemed low and we took off again to do the meths map, got it as high as 1.5 bar of boost (car was pulling like a train and all systems were go with an estimate of 390/400 BHP) before the EGT went through the roof again only to discover my head gaskets F****D
quite happy with the figures and how the car was performing though so its not all bad
the anti lag sounds the dogs danglies bits too :-D

I miss my scooby

i think its best to skim the heads if they need it otherwise you will be raising compression , i remember having a thicker hks gasket on my old pulsar to reduce compression, i always thought higher compression was a good thing but not on turbo cars , as you can guess i dont know much :lol: and will probably be put right soon enough
Small one's are more juicy
Do you know what fuel tank capacity yours has Dunk (the RA one
)
I have a v3 STi and think it's 50 Litres. They changed to 60L at some point but don't know when.
After your mapping on VPower only, what did you add to switch to 10% Meth? Other than 10% Meth :roll: i.e. what volume of Meth?
Cheers

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
