Is it just me or is that really quick ??

Any guess's on what my sunny gti would pull round Snetterton?
It felt quick! I was in the top three of the stockhatch champ at the time which regularly fielded three grids worth of cars. The car weighed 650kg and had about 120hp. It topped out at 115mph on the logger down Revett and was at that speed for half of the straight. Riches was more of a lift than a dab and it would take chunks out of nearly everything through the Esses. Had it for five seasons and all it broke was one gearbox. I miss it! We won class in the Birkett 6 hour relay (and came third overall) in a team of stockhatch cars when it absolutely pissed it down one year. Great fun, hoping to do it this year with HCC in the new scooby (though dont think any trophies will be on the cards this time).

Built 2.0, 6 speed box, TD05/06, Hybrid FMIC, 740s, Walboro, FPR etc etc 410bhp at 1.5bar (on TEGs rollers, dont know if optimistic or not) and............its a wagon. Subconsciously I think I want to be Gerry  . Need to lighten, cage and coilover it then she is ready to roll.

So rule of thumb would be, add about 1.5 - 2 secs to all the claimed times and we're somewhere near the actual.

The nearest I've come to timing myself is from a video of a few early laps on my first visit to Snett. on an MLR track day about 3 years ago. Time was ~1.35 iirc so I'll keep out of this thread :D

Met Liam for the first time on that day when he came up to me and said the car went well! :)
