Well this morning, i phoned the rolling road center in Cambridge, and booked the mini in for next Tuesday to have a proper tune up :) so i'm looking forward to that, and i might even take the video camera along too

Also, this evening i've just bought a pair of competition heavy duty adjustable tie bars on ebay :)

and whilst i'm at the rolling road, i'm going to ask about a geometry setup too. :D

yep :) me and dad knew that the car wasn't set up properly, so on the first run just to see what it was doing, it managed; 45bhp @ 6000rpm in 4th - 72mph max
then after a lot of sodding around with different needles to get the optimum flow (tired about 7-8 needles in total) and playing around with the electronic ignition we settled on an 'ABD' needle, so on the last run it did; 64bhp @ 6000rpm in 4th - 96mph :D

but what i loved about the day, was that it was very hands on, i was taking the carb apart and fiddling around with the distributor an that :D plus i was doing the driving on the road too :thumb:

today, i've washed the car and polished it, hoovered it, cleaned the interior, fitted my new 3" harness, and changed my tie bars :)
