Yeah it is good cheap and flex's to where you want to join it.
Only thing is that the high heat temps may melt it and let an air leak but i have wrapped it in some old exhaust heat sheilding.
Lets get some cheap drift days organised so we can test it!
Project Silvia *updated*
Nothing that special this weekend.
Went to scrapyard to pull some bits off another S12 as heard they had one down there, went to get a wing as ours is very rusty and looks tatty, the one at the scarpyard was solid but had a front end impact! :x
So i just cut them in half and made a good solid wing out of two!
Picture of it back on the car!

I also got a set of front and rear anti roll bars which i plan to clamp to the bars on the car to stiffen the body roll up a bit.
Went to pull the rear glass out of the tailgate as it weighs too much and i am going to replace it with either a bit of perspex or a bit of thin alloy sheet but the inevitable happened!!!
Yes it smashed as i was removing it and went everywhere!!!

Gutted!!

Looks like it bolts on to the inner wheel arch.
The rear part slips into camps on the hoop that
would be best welded once fitted i guess.
Hoop has plates fitted ready to bolt in.
The front section is made up from the extra tubing
that just needs some floor plates making up and
welding to the hoop. You might need one length of
tube for across the screen and jobs a gooden.
Like rocking horse #### i guess nik........

OK massive up date due befor Marham.
I have been putting so much work into this car and the trailer which i have built to get it all ready for Marham that i have nott even had time to keep this thread up to date!
Will let the pictures do a lot of the talking.
It is surprising how time consuming building a decent car really is!!
First job was replaceing the tired clutch which was in the car so we went for a Exedy organic unit.
I vowed i would never do another clutch on a garage floor but somehow found myself doing it again!!

No action pics here as couldnt hold camera and gear box at same time!
That large oil leak on the box was solved with a new gaitor from Nissan.
Next we moved onto the cage that Lee found for us (cheers again mate);
This turned out to be a huge operation for myself and i fully respect the guys like Gary etc who have built a proper cage set up and not a budget one like mine. Trouble with the cage was that it was not trully built for the S12 so needed quite a bit of modding to make it fit. Anyway here are some pics;

Add a lick of paint and some padding;
