A bit more faffing around and trying to figure out a way to mark the holes for existing threaded holes to save drilling the car and here is the finished result:

It was very easy to jigsaw Ross

There was only one 5 mm x 100mm additional strip to come off for the final fit to work. Very pleasing :)
