They have to in all the ones ive seen as it forms part fo the "cage" that the extra plates sit in and and held in place by.

See how the fly wheel had a cage that holds and drives the floating plate/s and pressure plate. Then the friction plate are sandwiched between them.

Trying to decide on the clutch at the mo - either exedy twin plate in which case flywheel will be part of it or AP uprated organic but I am not 100% that this would take the strain.

Wouldn't have thought the AP would handle the torque you'll have from your new build.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!

errrrm lots :o

car going in on the 29th for heart transplant and fitting of fmic and other ancilliaries - will probably be off the road for 3 weeks.

Got lots of bits arriving over the next few days/weeks that can be put in place but basically everything still to do :(

Mine is hours & weeks away from finish. I am still cutting the shell up!! I will put some pics on the other thread soon!

There will be some cracking cars out in TA next year the builds that are going on is unreal !!

Million dollar question !! :D

- the power side of things will be sorted by end of feb reading for running in, mapping and hopefully a shakedown in march.
- cage should be here in 7 weeks ... so cutting that fine but it isnt essential so not a cruicial thing
- seat should be here in a week or two
- rail should be here next week
- harnesses are stock item so as soon as I have clarification as to whether my existing SFI 4 points will be acceptable or not I can order them
- brake ducting will be done when I make the front splitter/undertray (just sorting out at the mo)
- rear diffuser will be done when the car is back to me or while it is up on the ramps
- graphics still not finalised but that is a quick-ish thing to get done
- general prep work and maintenance 'could' be done whilst engineering going on in the engine build

Yes, it 'should' be done :D

There are some great builds, hopefully this will do me, BigPower and Area 52 Autosport proud 8)
