I love the simplicity of the minis, must be great fun to work on.

The colour sceme in the first picture looks great.

it is a lovely engine to work on, changing a clutch from sitting down with your tools, to wiping the grease off your hands is about 1 1/2 hours, but i'm sure i could do it faster

and to change a head gasket with all that in the way, only takes 2 1/2 hours (including a de-coke )

oh, and i'm booking a day off to visit the bodyshop and talk about painting

My god i would kill to have that kind of simplicity coming from working on a Skyline!!
Everything is a nightmare on it!
To get to the top bellhousing bolts on a skyline you need about 4 foot of extenions on a ratchet!!

is a Skyline really that bad? :? dad wanted to get one, but he was worried about the running costs :?

They are not very easy to work on mate.
Running costs are manageable but i hardly use mine so cant really say.

mind you, now thinking of it, there is alot of equipment under the skylines bonnet, so yeah it must be are to work on something major.

my friend simon has a Supra, and that's pretty much packed out under the bonnet

dad was worried about if a turbo went on one, but i said that the non turbos are still pokey, but that's his choice though
