Hi!

Post by JoBu »

Hi everyone,

My name is Josh and im 17, currently have a *ahem* 1.2 corsa sxi and a 1978 Mini clubman fitted with a 1.6 honda vtec engine. Me an my dad built the mini over the past couple of years, its been on the road a few months but is currently in winter storage.

I've been playing with cars since i was ickle and im doing a 5 year apprenticeship at P&A Woods which is a Rolls Royce and Bentley garage. At the moment im working on the pre war cars, but i am moving onto modern cars fairly soon to be able to complete my training programme quicker.

I have lots of plans for the mini, im collecting parts to start the work, hopefully i should start working on it again soon. I may start a project thread when i start the work.

Thats about all i think...

Yea the mini is running, it went to Mini in the park last year at santa pod. It didnt go up the strip as it had only been on the road a couple of weeks. But it drove very well! It was on the 16vminiclub stand and got more interest than i thought it would!

Its a Corsa not a saxo :o I wouldnt buy a saxo!

Yes did all the conversion ourselves you can buy a conversion kit, which we did then its 'basically' just bolt everything on with abit of fabrication here and there then abit of wiring. But nothing major tbh.

Here is a pic:
