I'm afraid there is VAT to pay on top and unfortunately you have to pay that on most things these days. However, people like us can put that through the business and claim some if not all of it back from the VAT man under miscellaneous expenses or company motoring related expenses. What they aren't charging however is the Ethanol duty itself which is otherwise
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

they will come up with ; it is illegal to store more than 5 litres at a time unless you have a proper storage facility
costing 20 million pounds .
whatever you can save will only be a short term fix imo until they tax the shit out of it
but good luck i will be watching this thread .

Personally, I'm still going to go with LPG.
Yes the price has crept up lately. but it's still only about 45p/litre so less than half of the cost of unleaded let alone V-power/super etc. Ad the fact that it's about 109RON and it starts to get really interesting.
To make the best use, you really need a dual map to allow decent mapping on both LPG and petrol, but a decent sequential kit and suitable map will retain and sometimes exceed the available horse power from petrol.

Dwayne

Well...i think in any case i will probably have a go myself and try for the licence. If i can get a licence, anyone can, and at just over 92ppl and the added benefits of using ethanol i think is well worth having a go

I can't help wonder if C&E will decide that yes - you can have a licence, but you would be expected to pay road fuel duty on top. Every authorised road fuel I know of has such a tax added over the non-road fuel version.
Good luck though, it's worth a try.
