got mine back today after taking it to ups week and half ago not bad turn around really, they replaced motherboard did some 2 hour test which it passed :-D

except i believe none of the cr@p they put on the bit of paper as after the first 45 mins or so on call of duty 4 (the only game i played) bang 3 red lights :x ](*,) ](*,)

wonder if Microsoft support open tomorrow

Good news! Got my console back on Wednesday, they tried to deliver on Monday but nobody was in. Not too bad a turnaround really considering the holiday period.

Needless to say I'll be keeping the packaging in case it needs to go back again but I'm hoping the replacement motherboard has resolved the issue...

My partners daughters one packed up last week after just 11 months. Her father bought it for her but is a bit of a tw@t so she isnt telling him and instead just went and bought another console (160 quid!). This will be her 3rd console as the first one went the same way after roughly a year too.

She's been really careful with all of them, keeps them well ventilated and in the recommended position (flat i think it is...?). What the hell are Microsoft playing at? Not content with bringing out a new Windows every year they also program 360's to self destruct within the same time frame??? :x
