Interesting read as i now posses a similar track weapon. How many miles has your car done? Would lowering springs give a firm enough ride for drifting or are coil-overs worth the extra cash? Any plans to fit an M3 diff at all?

Great project and cheap too, will have to pop over as you seem to have some great facility's to do the work.

So has it tuned into a dedicated track weapon now then rather than a drift one?

Is that your own workshop Jason?

I had to replace the subframe bushes on the Silvia but i left the frame on the car and just dropped it down a bit, then used a hacksaw and cut notches in it and then used a bit of threaded rod to pull the bushes out.

Looks similar to the project i am doing, as much fun for as little cash!!

managed to get a few more jobs done on the car over the last few days although i seem to keep creating other problems along the way .

fabricated brackets and pinned on rear bumper, pinned boot lid, fitted front wishbone assy and front poly bushes, rear anti roll bar is now on

,new water pump fitted, new raditor purchased to go on, welded in sunroof filler, drlled out exhaust studs and retapped holes,

still more than enough still to do before jan 20th .

also fitted this, not to everybody's taste but it is mean't to be functional ,

i see pablo and bart run a similar one with good results . so i will see if it suits a bmw if not it goes .

At least spray the bugger so it doesn't look like a satellite dish :D

Look forward to seeing this on the track mate. Do you have any spares or are you sticking with the Toyos? (in case of rain)
