I was only doing about 20mph so they could easily have flagged me down :)

I'm (a lot) older than you! And I scare easy :D
not surprising the way you drive gerry! :-D

i don't think ben is doing any worse a job of keeping up public relations than most car drivers.

lets face it. most people would class us as chavs too?
But if you drive like a prat your gona get called a chav.

:) - pmsl at you lot ... I am the driving equivalent of miss daisy - just with more horsepower ....

the whole chav thing is bizarre - my sister and her friends (all in their 30's and live in london) call my car the chav bangra machine - where as I'm sure we all have a rather different definition of chav

Face it - there will be someone that will always look at us and say chav ... it's in peoples nature to diss ... hell I look at those blokes in CSL's and think 'rich chav' ... :) - sorry slarty.

We dont even need to be speeding to make people think we are. I got shouted at for driving through my village at 30 mph by a lady on the side of the road.

So I stopped, reversed and asked her politely why she was bad mouthing me.

"well you looked like you were going fast" and she apologised.

I was going 30mph like I always do through the village, you cant do much more than that because of the parked cars anyway even if I wanted to (which I dont)

I was going 25mph like I always do through the village, you cant do much more than that because of the parked cars anyway even if I wanted to (which I dont)
I get this all the time in my village, I drive through at 30MPH and see a Rover 25 leaving me behind, and then when I catch up with him on an A road doing 45MPH and pass, him and his missus have the nerve to tell me I drive too fast.
