No, got my eye on a few cars for next year to go racing in as well as sprinting, but its likely to end up in Gerry/Mikes class, so probably won't be competing directly with you next season chap.

400hp, sub 1200kg, caged and list 1b tyres at last! Could be fun!

On a 4K budget for a 'fun' weekend car that's easy to work on. I wouldn't recommend an Impreza.

Biggest time & money pit going IMO!

Only when you start realy trying to tune them, keep an early Impreza near standard with just breathing mods and they are pretty robust I would say, I had my 95 WRX 2 years without any issues at all!

But you will want to tune it! Good to be handy with spanners if you have one, but not that bad to work on once you know your way around. One with a decent level of tune is insanely quick, just ask Mike and Gerry who beat all the single seaters (half a tonne with power, aero and slicks) in the dry at North Weald last time out.

OK scooby owners, tell me what there like to own, the brakes on my R32 were poor, i,m guessing the subaru,s are much better? Servicing costs, fuel economy etc.

i love all the pulsar owners and ex owners say the pulsar and all the scoob owners say the scoob.

if you had a pulsar and say kept it at 300bhp, you should'nt have to many reliabilty issues, but for bang for buck you wont find anything as fun as a pulsar.

but a scoob are cheap as chips nowadays with good brakeing and handling out of the box and would make a good trackday toy.

a weekend car should be FUN not practical and you should expect to get your hands dirty with it most weekends aswell. whole idea of owning a weekend toy.

I have 2 scoobs and im saying buy a crx vtec :!:

In my experience they handle better than the scoobs, cost less for basic parts and are pretty much bulletproof
