Fcuking arse - insurance companies take soooo long!!

Post by Andy_Cat »

My god damn insurance company is taking so bloody long to pay out...

If you werent aware i was out with Jayne walking the dog and came back to car urm... on fire

Since found out the headunit i had in it was prob nicked :x :o

Anyway to cut it short the insurnace company took 2 weeks to tell me it was beyond economic repair - gee that was a tough one bearing in mind the only thing that wasnt burnt was the fog lights and the front plate :?

They sent me a letter asking for all the normal gumph which i sent them and still no bloody answer or offer :(

Just as well i have another scoob to drive in the mean time

I've had a few claims in the past but whats the going rate for time scales on payouts :?: :!:

I'm not fussed about it for a new car but i got plans for the 'Red' one

Judging by a recent total loss, 9 weeks from claim to cheque.

Someone pulled out on me on Sept 05th, they cat B'd the VR6 athough had person i hit been uninsured the VR6 would of had a wing, door, steering arm and been back on the road the next afternoon. I got my cheque on Nov 03rd. Certainly not as good as it used to be, i had a not my fault total loss in 87 and had my cheque 3wks 3days after the accident that was with the Pru. In 1990 i had a total loss burnt out and had the cheque 4wks later with NU. These long time settlements seem to be the perils we pay for using cheap insurance companies.
