does not sound good atall , car was performing well pre damage,
could really have done without this expense at the moment especially having already recently spent a fair few pennys , nevermind onwards and upwards
Isnt that always the way ? - they always go really well just before they blow :(

Looked like a great day with perfect conditions on track.

Isn't that a good indicator of lean mixture? :(

yep - i guess so.

I was lucky recently and was impressed with how robust the engine is despite reports of chocolate pistons, when the vacuum hose came off the FPR and effectively ran it to 13:1 afr at high boost. It stuttered and I knew something was up. Hose re-attached and all fine and dandy afterwards - lucky I only did one or two pulls on it like that else it could have been an expensive school boy error.

The hose is now jubileed to the FPR and intake manifold now to stop me yanking it off by accident.

Who's a lucky boy then. Of course a Knocklink or similar  would have warned of lean running.

Indeed it would. I would rather a DetAlarm though as there look a lot nicer and dont take up half the dash.

I will be getting one shortly.

My mate was out in the green RX7. He was very sideways and after just 2 corners with him i could tell it was down to the cheap nasty tyres he had on. He got alot quicker once it dried out and defo enjoyed the day. I think next on the list is some good tyres and better brakes.

Sorry to hear about your engine TK, car looked to be going very well. I left before it died and my mate told me when he got back.
Thanks Nash
