What cage did you go for then Gerry?

 I'm obviously misunderstood around here

I bought Diggler's Safety Devices cage from his wagon. It was unmarked as you can imagine from his car. Then had to buy the mounting brackets from SD. Just needs fitting along with a pile of other bits I've accumulated.

No, I only have a TIG welder but no MIG, which is what's needed for this job.

There's a welder local to me, or I may get Zak to do it.

Oh, nice one mate :thumb:

I remember that as being a 6 point bolt in along with a rear diagonal? That should be an easy fit for two people, a bit of a pig on your own. Will you be welding it in place Gerry or just leaving it there for crash protection?

Digglers wagon was my favourite classic Impreza full stop. One of those cars that I'll kick myself for not owning.....did he break the whole thing or just remove some bits and sell it as was. (This feels like deja vu, I've spoken to someone about this before but cannot remember the specifics  )

It was me Stu, Digglers wagon is broken in pieces, with quite a few of his parts living on in my car!

I now have his:

Suspension
brakes.
Anti roll bars
Fuel set-up
Wheels.

probably a few other bits as well.

The SD cage has weld in plates, then is bolted onto the welded box section plates.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

How on Earth do I:

a) justify another car and build a Classic wagon
b) find money out of the ether to finish the GTR, S13 and the Digglermobile/Gerrywagon mk2????

Nice wheels Logan :notworthy:

It's a 6 point weld in. The brackets weld to the body and the cage bolts to the brackets. I'm not sure whether your question is an aspersion to my welding ability or my capability as a garden shed erector? Either way :D

That wagon was immaculate. I don't know what finally happened to it but it seemed as though everything from it was for sale at one point. Real shame :(

Is that pic before or after?

If those wheels would go over AP 6 pots I'd say they don't suit your car and you could sell 'em to me :D

Thats before I modified the bodywork

I am sure they would fit over AP 6 pots, as they are 8x18" :!:

If I get time this weekend I will roll it out of the garage and clean it and take some pics, as it looks nice and shiny now!
