 You've finally lost it completely Stu!

Now that WOULD be a testimony to negotiating skills. Getting a discount on a Wii this side of Xmas. :D

What Stuart said :thumb:
...except for the i love you bit, that's too extreme for me and whatever you two have got going together :ky: please keep it off the air :D

Anyway....back to discounts... ;)
.... there must be a way. In any case i suppose he doesn't need the extra business as when i spoke with him he did say that if it wasn't this Thursday i would be waiting 2 or 3 weeks so he must be pretty stacked up, and perhaps he doesn't need to give discounts as he is so busy
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

That is because he is in Japan for Time Attack over there.

The Zen Impreza has made it over there and Phil Glew will be driving it against the best that Japan can muster.

Wondered when he'd be following the car over there. Can't wait to hear how they get on.

i have used zen a few times now for mapping, and think they are very good. i have used a nother well talked about speclist, and found them to be cheaper in pricebut no where as good as zen, so in the new year i am going to get my headers fitted by them.

they are not the closest place to me (a good hours drive) but worth it.

Well...I'm off to see the Zen Master this morning and i'll let you all know how i get on. :notworthy:
Their uppipe has a slip joint which alows for expansion but still remains gas tight which reminds me of the GrpN exhaust system TSL does which is all slip jointed and very light. It's on my list of goodies for the new year, but TSL are even more expensive than Zen so we'll see what Zen does for comparison. :D

Don't think there is a comparison. Zen will do it and it will be right.

How'd you get on?

Did you get a discount? :D

Helloooo....

I had a great day out at Zen Performance today. They popped a decat uppipe on despite the slight uphill struggle with dismantling certain components such as headers, uppipe, EGT and Lambda sensors, which had never been taken off the car since new and were literelly welded on. With great care however and some rather large grabbers and a blow torch they managed to win in the end but the job took about 2.5hrs longer than originally quoted.

Without hydraulic ramps, some specialist tools and and an extra pair of hands i would seriously have struggled to do this in a day on my back, and some of the hassles that cropped up would of caused me serious grief, so i am very pleased i got them to do the job.

The cool thing is the young mechanic there didn't mind me chatting to him and asking questions as well as watching very closely what he was doing whilst on the job ( i'm always learning and enjoy doing so ), and he seems a very proficient mechanic for such a youngster (ex-Mitsubishi Technician).

I was quoted ex-amount originally for the job, and it came to

well done francis looks like you had nothing to worry about after all, 8) whilst i think that price is obviously important

when having work carried out the way in which the garage/ supplier can deal with some problems which occur along the way

can sometimes not be apprecited or taken into consideration by the customer until it goes pear shaped then the true savings are realised .

cheers
