In Gear Acceleration Times

Post by duncan »

I have been out and done some testing:

2nd gear:
30 - 50 mph = 1.3 seconds

3rd gear:
30 - 50 mph = 2.1 seconds
40 - 60 mph = 1.9 seconds
50 - 70 mph = 2.0 seconds
60 - 80 mph = 2.5 seconds

4th gear:
40 - 60 mph = 2.8 seconds
50 - 70 mph = 2.6 seconds
60 - 80 mph = 2.6 seconds

Still got some tweaking to do on the map namely at high revs but heading the right direction :)

I was doing some data logging today and got these figures. I'm a little restricted with my air intake and can be more agressive with the mapping

30 to 50 = 2.4
40 to 60 = 2.2
50 to 70 = 1.9
60 to 80 = 1.7

If your ECU has a datalog facility then you can do it that way or with one of those gps performance meter things.

I'd quite like to do a bit of datalogging myself,

Wasnt relevent to drifting, but if we're gonna track it a bit more it might come in handy, be interesting to see what the in gear times will be.

DaOne/Bladey.....

If you want to check out your in gear acceleration times anywhere from 0-300mph i have some fully working software that will do the job but you need a PDA running either PPC2002 or Mobile 2003/2005 and a GPS receiver either wired or wireless.

PM me :D
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!
