Raising the bar

Have been toying with the idea of twin turboing the janspeed sierra for some time now. The problem with this was two fold. 1. Inspite of the fact that we have 3 turbo kits and 4 turbos lying around we would still have a lot of fabrication to do to make it work :( .2. For some unknown reason Bart has always been against the idea.
How ironic then that it was Bart who found this twin turbo janspeed kit for sale. :o

The question is, will it make it's way to under the bonnet of our track car 8)

Unfortunatley this kit would not fit your father in laws sierra as it is for a 2.8 and not the 2.9 :(

I am waiting to hear back from the seller as to what turbos they are. If they are T25's then we won't bother. For us torque is more important than bhp as our current figures show. If you check out the dyno room on bhp we are about 2nd from bottom :( . but on torque if i remember correctly we are about 25 out of 43 :grin: .

What we lack in sheer bhp we make up for in torque as this short clip shows :-D

We have found that there are often places on a track were torqu takes over and this is where we exploit the car and it tends to make people think that we are running a lot more bhp than we acrually have :-D
