Odd Creaks/ knocks:S

Post by ValoSunnyGti »

Ok since the first couple of weeks of having my new Sunny there has been a few creeks, thing is, they have got worse and i also occasionally get a knock. This generally haapens when pulling away or when road level changes ( kurbs/bumps etc).

Is this suspension or could it be something else?

Tom,
This sounds like bottom ball joints or wishbone bushes to me. It could also be some other suspension/steering components too. We can sort it mate

Bingo for Ball joints :thumb:

Wouldn't be steering if he hasn't heard it whilst turning.

Depends what it turns out to be mate. Blue Print make good quality Jap pattern parts which are quite reasonable.

Get your jack under it, place your hands at 6 and 12 o'clock on the front wheel and shake it, see if there is movement, if it is its the ball joints mate.
