Post by Fast Eddy »

Someone i overtook around Snetterton last Saturday in my M3 is wanting to part exchange his Subaru for it.

looks like a version 4 from the body work, worth asking for the chasee code to conferm the model of it.

also ask who does the re build, and what parts they used, any warrenty left etc,

worth checking the front calipers, as the pistons tend to sease on them.

looks like a nice car, would get rid of the 18 if on track and put some 16/17 on

looks like a face lift model, i thought the face lift models came out in 97 though with the Version 3`s?, if its a 96 wouldent that make it a version 2

managed to find a thread with a few pics of a MY96 version 2 and it is pre facelift, pre face lift had a diffrent grille and bonnet vents

http://www.type-ra.co.uk/vB/showthread.php?t=2959

maybe the guy has advertised it wrongly? or i could be mistaking with my dats (which wouldent be the first time lol)

Its a version 2 with a facelifted front. Its not the STi RA as there is no DCCD control from the cabin shot. Its worth 3.5-4k. If you overtook it in an M3 its either broken or had an inexperienced driver aboard!
