Thanks for the comments guys, we had a laugh on saturday.

Took the car out to the city and places and ended up in Wickes car park. As we were walking out 2 lads (about 13) were running across the road towards my car. I said to Emma 'those lads are headed to my car', she said 'nah'. With that they whipped out phones and started taking pics. Then an old couple started talking to them and winding them up saying it was there car lol. By this time we were almost at the car and the old couple started chatting to us and the lads had been scared off by them. Was very odd but cool, Emma said she forgot how many people looked at the car also after having some other lads / chaps stand gawping at it.
I'd read about it but never thought it would actually happen. Bizarre.....but cool.

Anyway.....next mods arrived today !!!!

Hopefully gonna be fitting them tomorrow night.

Righto, cracked on with the lights tonight...

First the boring bit, taking a pic of the bog standard FD lights....absolutely attrocious when driving at night.

Ok so fitted the new bulb, test fitted all the connections and tried the lights, you can see the hid one on the left and the standard on the right:

Makes quite a difference eh !!!
So pulled all the wires through to the ballast unit that sits under the popup headlight and mounted the ballast...
Image
Did the same with the other side, spent ages cursing and swearing getting the popup covers the right height and here is the finished result.

Checkout the difference between the first pic and those, to say it is an improvement is an understatement !!!! Really chuffed and cant wait to try them out.
