Well, i need to get it to a rolling road first as it's absolutley gutless since going from a standard 998cc to a mighty mini spec 998cc.
then i'll expect that the car should be on track spring next year

And it' getting a respray next year too, with a new livery for it.

Your mini looks the biz. They didn't look like that when i was a youngster grasstracking mini's. Your car looks ideal for hillclimbs. I bet it sticks to the tarmac like 5h1t to a blanket :thumb:
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Yeah, my mini's evolved quite abit :D but i can't help thinking about a vauxhall or nissan conversion 8) and yes, i took it out today and the handling is great, but a nightmare when you go over severe bumps

I would be tempted to buy a trailer and never put yours on the road. Track days, hill climbs and qtr miles only. Yours would certainly kepp upw ith a fair few track day cars bearing in mind it weighs nothing and has pretty reasonable bhp.

I saw one of these hillclimbing about 23yrs ago with a 1600 Ford X-flow BDA engine conversion plus supercharger atop that. Awesome bit of kit that was mighty quick, putting in much quicker times than some of the dedicated exotica around back then.

I noticed you have an SU carb fitted, would a Weber 40/45 DCOE not go well on that. That was a regular conversion in my day and the induction noise on the webber is addictive.

Nice one :thumb:

I could never keep this car off the road, it's just too much fun :P
I'm sure my car would no doubt keep up with the cars on here through some right twisty bends, but eventhough the 65 bhp is still healthy, it's nothing up against your cars :(

the BDA conversion has all but diesd out now, can't understand why though? it must be down to the fact that the engines are becomming scarce now?

Yeah the SU, for what i've got, may 'just' be restricting a bit, but a webber would kill it, it's way too much for what the spec i've got - but a twin HS2 SU's would do the trick

talking about engine conversions - have you seen this ?

You have to love the VTEC roar 8)

I used to have twin SU's on mine - a right pain in the arse to balance them. Used to use tube to listen to the pitch of the air whistling in to get them close. Completely different to EFI systems today.

Yeah, that is great! :D but then again, i could get a KAD 16 twin cam upgrade for my engine like this]http://youtube.com/watch?v=4q5ZHU8yvLQ[/url]

my dad told me about how much of a pain in the arse balancing carbs can be :x and again, i could get a MPI upgrade for my engine too
