Thanks Ben :) They are amazing dogs and have an affinity with people & water. They've been using Newfies for lifeguard duties, on the continent, for a few years now. In Italy, they use helicopters to take a dog & handler out to anyone in difficulty. I saw a video of this in action and must admit the dog didn't seem over keen on jumping out, in fact it may have had a little 'encouragement :o

Gerry....I've never met you before and have no idea what you look like...however....you know what they say about dogs and their owners and looking alike. Do you have a big fluffy mane, sloppy chops and dribble lots? :lol:

Seen a few of them at shows as we show ours, actually have newfy back groun too :) him as a pup then at 3 months then at a year old standing next to a 2 year old doberman :)
any one guess what breed he is ??
