Barkston Sunday 14/10/07
Not exactly crap mate. We have both been round there faster than that though. Had a feeling we weren't completely on it. Glad I finally got to stay in the road car class (for the first sprint at least).
Congrats to Ben and Andy, well under the minute mark.

But Gerry - you were pushing Andy for top slot in the first round. Only in the second round did your times soften, whilst Andy's got a few tenths better.
Now then, where can I find those few seconds to be able to chase Gerry and Andy properly next year :-D
Andy and Gerry - do you have a before/after suspension comparisons for Barkston (or a.n.other sprint for that matter)? That is, assuming other things stayed roughly the same. Am interested in KWv3's potentially for my STi4. [Am also mildly interested in Apex inverted single-adjustables at half the price - group buy on SN at moment. Handily, Bren from Apex will be at Cadwell with his new RA 6 Vlim with those struts fitted]
cheers
Andy

I fitted the KWs at the start of the season so no comparison data, just that subjectively it handled alot better (esp. after the alignment sorted out by Zak). They are harsh for bumpy B roads though, not undriveable, but certainly uncomfortable.
The Apex stuff is cheap, be interesting to see if it was good value.
It got worse after I put the RE070s on, but that may have been in part due to the weight of the wheel and tyre robbing the steering of feel.

I'm pretty much as Andy says, no comparisons. My problem is, I rarely do just one thing at a time so don't know where, if any, gains come from.
The KWs are as they came out of the box. The only time I played with them I stuffed it and put them back to where they were.
Your WRX was going very well on the D2s with slicks ay Marham last April, it went through corners quicker than I could.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
