no of course it isnt Gareth's, but it does prove that they can go round there quite nicely

your Snet time is pretty quick. I saw a vid on Pistonheads yesteday where a chap being taught by GoldTrack went round in 1.15. He was driving an Ultima though so no wonder.
Won't be too long then before you get your time at the Ring down to 8:06, just like Gan San

Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Waiting now for another execution date!!:headhack:

Gan San's was a full lap - mine is BTG so around 9.20 full lap.
No way will I ever push my car around there that hard - making up an extra minute is inconceivable at this time.
back to topic though, shame the image quality of this clip is crackly but it is good all the same - I love the bumper cam position

The track has 172 corners. if you can learn them all it should be easy to get loads of time back. The main thing is you realise you dont drive the whole lap, thats what most people dont mention.
if you can gain 0.1 sec on entry apex and exit which 99 % of videos of cars can you will shave 51.6 seconds.
e.g.
if you took a 195 foot radious bend
and missed the entry apex and exit by 12 inches
this wil drop your corner avg speed from 54mph to 53.5 mph.
that is over 1 ft per second you loose. in an hour race a 1mph advantage equates to a 2600ft advantage

"You think you have a limit, As soon you touch this limit, something happens to you; suddenly you can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct and your experience as well, you can fly very high."
i couldnt have said it better myself.sdminus wrote:The track has 172 corners. if you can learn them all it should be easy to get loads of time back. The main thing is you realise you dont drive the whole lap, thats what most people dont mention.

Trouble with the ring is, the double whammy of cost of accident and cost of track repairs/closure plus the whole lack of run off.
The last trip showed that the one and only dry lap was 8 seconds up in one sector over my previous best but traffic comes in all shapes and sizes there.
You need to drive it if you havent already :thumb:
