roll cage tubing

does anybody know what the specification of the tubing used in roll cages and what are the regulations regarding

building your own cage ie if you wish to use it for competion does it need some form of type approval .

i was only going to use it for track days at the moment but just thought would ask the question .

I am also going to build my own for the S12 mate so if you find a very cheap supplier for tubing let me know please.

What you doing for bending the pipe, you got a pipe bender?

i have no pipe bender as yet as i don't know what i have to bend and i will also be looking into

some form of pipe notcher to enable me to cut some neat joins to weld .
