i have a pair of icom f22sr on pmr446 i have just purchased a pair of icom f4sr on pmr446
but i cannot get them to work together i have mislaid the book for the f22sr .
i believe they have some sort of code to work together , but basicly i'm too thick to work it out
any help or pointers will be much appreciated

Hi Jason,
PMR radios generally have 8 main channels that are each sub-diveded into 30 encrypted channels that allow you to be able to find at least one frequency that is clear and free.
Set all radios to channel 1 and then beside that channel number there should be 2 smaller digits indicating your sub channel number (if you have a digital display as i do on my motorolas). Once you have them all set to the same main and sub channel you should be able to communicate to eachother no probs.
I've only ever used Motorolas and find them pretty good, the icom PMR radios are new to me although i know a bit about their 10m radioham kit
(i know...Geek!!).
