Don't get a lot of attention really but I get the odd person saying to their mate "look, a lotus carlton" when it's clearly not.
I do get a few people asking if it's a lotus too, which I say "No, I wish."
Then a few others once in a blue moon will say "Nice car, I owned a GSI once..."
Most people don't know what it is and pass it off as old rubbish - with the "anything that is more than 10 years old must be crap" attitude.
Unfortunately it does draw a bit of attention to the police - it's noisy and it goes sideways well... Plus most polac motorway drivers used to drive the senators so they normally know what it is and follow me to see if I'll boot it or not.....

Not a huge amount but a few 2nd glances. Usually split between those who understand what the pink badge means and give a nod of approval and those that just get a bit excited at the sight of a woman in an Impreza (white van man stand up)!
No one's going to get that animated about an old wagon though.

1st Mod - replace orange front indicators with clear ones.
Is this a slippery slope?

If it was Dereks old wagon I would. Still the best classic Impreza I've seen. (Barring the RCM one)Buttercup wrote: No one's going to get that animated about an old wagon though.

Well i have had kids video me on their mobiles and people saying "nice car mate" i hear people saying "oh look. A skyline". A few kids in cars screaming past me on odd occasions. I have had a few bad dreams about it being stolen too. Not bothered about it being knocked or anything which helps. I love it when the boy racers drive towards you looking straight ahead but you see them look keeping their head straight at the last second.
Plus doing the circuit of St Stephens helps people notice it - eh jim.jungle-jim wrote:Well i have had kids video me on their mobiles and people saying "nice car mate" i hear people saying "oh look.
