i have run ds2500 with my AP brakes and i have not had any problems on the track (when i get there lol) and i do brake late and pretty hard  i am sure certain pads work better with certain brake setups so what is good for one setup may not always be quite as good as another, i am sure i will be corrected though :-D

Not by me you won't, I would say that if you continued your line of thought to allow for technique/style of braking you would be pretty much bang on :D

Had Mintex 1155s with Brembo calipers which were OK and lasted for ever but didn't have a good feel, bit woolly. Being a lazy and tight git I didn't do anything about it. Until...

I fitted mintex F4R. The difference was stunning. Immediate bite and a good solid pedal. This was helped by leaving out the shims. Ollie Clark of RCM told me that if you want an immediate solid pedal, leave the shims out.

Two days later I bought the APs with DS 2500 and not impressed. Ask Frayz what he thinks to these pads in APs.

So, (get there in the end) my vote goes to Mintex F4R. Another plus with Mintex, which I think applies to all there performance pads, they are de-gassed during manufacture, so no need for fancy grooves and holes, except for :gay:

there could be alot of money saved there then all the car manifacturers (sp) could change to mintex pads and do away with their :gay: groved and drilled disks

I've tried EBC yellows on the track - they are crap.

Reds are better than yellows IMO.

Lasted half a day (blew the gearbox up at lunch :roill:), had half of the pads left to go, and they broke up when I took them out back at the workshop. 2 of them came apart from the back plate, the others were cracked and cumbly.

Had a lot of good track time on reds and they are fine for the road too.

Don't touch greens unless you have a small car. If it's a large saloon with more that 200bhp then reds are the only ones to go for.

Don't know about any of the other pads though sorry.

I've been running Pagid 29's as i found the DS2500 were rubbish for track action.
As recomended to me by Alyn of A S Performance.....
