another chapter in the life of Christine as she has been named

after performing flawlessly during the morning sessions at marhams trackday today she decided to throw a strop and spit her no1 piston out the side of the block and end my fun for the day :cry:

will try and get some shots of the whole in the side of the block tomorrow once i remove some stuff thats in the way :)

nice to see the car in person at the weekend.

shame it let you down.

i am still shocked at the power figures.

i hope its back out there for marham in april?

at the moment no but think I'm pointing the finger at the clown behind the wheel who built and was driving the car :-D

will know more at the weekend I'm going to get the engine out of car and strip it down to see what's salvagable

well the cars back in the motor club on camp and i've started stripping the engine down to allow it to be taken out of the car

turbo's are off all fluids are drained wiring loom disconnected

couple of pictures of the damage

another little update

we'll I've plucked up some enthusiasm to actually take the engine out of the car so I've got a couple pictures for you all look at :) . The engine is still in one piece this is what I've just fished out of the whole in the bottom

no.1 piston

all the parts i fished out plus the bit of block and sump i picked up off the track

Gutted for you Lee. Tony told me about this the other day and I couldn't believe your luck. After all the work you have done, you would think t would have at least lasted one track day :(

Good luck with the rebuild mate.
I may be getting older but I REFUSE to grow up :D

Such a great project didn't deserve that outcome. Goodluck with the rebuild and keep us all informed.

well its been a while and theres an update

i've decided to cut my losses and sell the car off in parts most of which have gone to fund a new project/ car

i've just bought this and will hopefully be here in a couple of months :D
its a r34GT-T 4door got a few little stone chips and a chip in windscreen hoepfully not too big but we'll see

when it arrives i'll get some more shots but looking at the few pictures i have its got tein coilovers, Tein EDFC, non standard exhaust and who knows what else :-D
