2 hours sleep before a sprint is luxury :D I can never sleep properly the night before an event

Isn't that like coals to Newcastle? (The older members will understand that comment from the pre-Thatcher era) :D

Wonder what's on the cards for next year?

Don't know if its residing permanently in Japan but that is the impression you get. Maybe they don't have anything quite that quick out there?

I was Fastest Road car (mainly cos you werent there), had the Jedi, 2 V8 Westys and Billys hornet ahead. There was an awesome Escort Cossie on slicks, beat him by half a sec in the first round, the results for the second round hadn't been published when I left. 30 mins of track time after, took Steve (WRX with A048s, repaired his box, was askig after you) out for a pax as he was concerned I was beating him on road tyres.

I was lumped in with the kits again due to practice, so no hope of a class victory. Good day though, unbeatable value.

I couldnt fly today so enetred a twin engine kart race at Whilton Mill and won that. Biggest trophy I've had for a while!

The guy with the API V7 WRX that misplaced second gear last time out.

I had a slightly slower lap time anti clockwise, is that what you found?

Polished helmet, ooo-errr, how will that help? And what sort of head protection will you be using

Oh! I remember now, thought it was him but had forgotten the gearbox problem.

Yes, anti-clockwise was slower for me too. I expected it to be quicker as it flows better.

Polished helmets were the awards yestrerday. Quite nice, if you like that sort of thing. Liz reckined I can use it for an ashtray

I think its the first left hander that costs a fair bit of time.

Sounds like a cool trophy. Have you bought a bigger cabinet this year?

If you haven't done NW this year you'll find it's quite different to the previous layout.

The start is further back and without the kink right. After the long straight, it used to be head straight toward the grass area but you now turn much sooner. Instead of the confusing back & forth before the finish, it's now just run along the grass edge, sharp left turn back along the runway, sharp turn right to finish 100 yards or so before the peri road.

Got a nice collection now ranging from practical to awful :D

BTW, they're tightening up on regs for next year. Modified must have roll cages, etc.

I did the shakedown sprint earlier this season. If it's the same course as that I've got some time on it.
