...........................And breathe!

Hope you all enjoyed the pics and vids, hope it didn't take too long to load up for y'all!

We all had a great time and hope you all did too - Hope to see you at the next one, next April ish!

BTW - I had a telling off because I was drifting with people behind me - that's why we put a big "DRIFT" sign in white insulation tape on our rear screens, to let people know that we were going to slide the corners so other people could stay well back!

You should also put big stickers on the cars saying 'we're gonna knock the shit out of the cones on each lap' too then :D ;)

Thanks for the pics, many of which have already been uploaded I'm sorry to say.

I was chuffed to see Mr Ellis and his endurance racer there, I should have stopped driving to go and have a proper look around it. Wonderful car by all accounts.

Thanks for sharing all the pictures and vids.

Was a great day but i feel next time there should be 2 groups, one for drifters and the other for people trying to get a quick lap in.

I was the modern ricer by the way. :)

Well there was actually only 3 of us who wanted to drift everywhere and the others were just doing it on the exits every now and again for a laugh, so that idea wouldn't work unless there was about 30 odd drifters.

We did try our best to let everyone get past us who wanted to as we weren't going fast on the straights. The last thing we wanted to do was to spoil other people's fun, but people were following us too close ALL the time in the morning with no way of letting them know that we planned to drift the corners. That's when the tape came in to play and the marshals were happy at that. They were actively encouraging the drifting as it's more spectacular, and they did say that it was a good idea. When I came up with the idea of the DRIFT sign on the back screen, they said "They've got no reason to moan now - if they still want to stick right up your rear end they can't say they haven't been warned!"

But surely it is only ok to drift when there is no one directly behind?

I did half the day in a drift car and only tried to drift if the road was clear behind me and in front in case i messed it up and spun.

There is no way i could read a sign on the back of a car to see what the car planned to do at the next corner.
