My new track toy - E30 320ise

Post by M J P »

I decided that it was about time to give the Scooby a break from track use as (in my view) it had earned it!

It had taken all of the abuse I had given very well with no major faults.

Only problem was I still needed my fix... :-D

I came across an e30 320i, which had already been used in anger. Apart from having most of the interior stripped, Lowering springs, a pair of Cobra Monaco's and some six point harnesses the car was standard.

Here she is and hopefully will be able to have some RWD fun soon :-D :-D

That is fantastic Matt :notworthy:

Is that one of German Cars stock? Looks like it has the potential to be enormous fun and I look forward to seeing it on the circuits very soon.

Took the car out for it's first drive since owning it this evening.

Pick up seems a tad slow but once on the move it's quite responsive and sounds lovely. :-D
I also need to try to raise the drivers seat a touch as the Cobra sub-frames are a little low! :o

Sorry Stu... Not sure what you mean? (I'm a bit new to BMW's)

I was hoping to do some "bonding" with the car at Woodbridge but left it a bit late to get a place. (Still going to pop along and try though!)

Cadwell may well be the first outing for the car but might prove to be a bit daunting for my first time on track with RWD!!!

For now I'm going to treat it to new brake pads/shoes and some braided hoses. If possible, I might see if I can get it on some rollers and have some sort of diagnostic done...
