If you look at V8 EATRs post further up apparently there is an engine rebuild done.

Ian there isnt really a limit on when an engine rebuild can occur, it can be anything from a few thousand miles (if not setup correctly) to over 100k miles.
Just depends also if the car is looked after eg engine warmed up first etc.

Even if there isnt a rebuild done it is a really good price for a car with a decent set of mods and if you allow 2.5k for a possible rebuild it is still heaps cheaper than the crap you get for sale on ebay !!!!

Mate,

The point is it's sold as having had a rebuild but (it appears) with no proof.

And I challenge you to get a rebuild done for

I thought that RX7's must have a rebuild every 60k miles maximum regardless of use?

Nope, not true. They can fail before or after this mileage.

Hmm, not that great then. But it still is a cheap car, as I said just allow some spare money for a possible rebuild.

Alex, it depends what gets done and where you take it to be rebuilt.

At the end of the day you pay your money and take your chance, engine failures can happen on any of our cars regardless of type eg RX7, Skyline, Supra, Scooby etc etc

What a lovely looking car!

In my book 60k on an engine, of this type, is loads.......years of fun. If the advert is as straight as the car looks it should be a good gamble for someone.

Some photos of the front and a compression check would help sell it surely?
