Cheers mate :)

It's coming together quite nicely now:

2nd attempt at a 2nd hand turbo pack has resulted in a nice one sitting in my shed. One of the actuator solenoids has been damaged while the engine was removed, but I was aware of this before purchase and can either use one of mine or one from the first turbo pack which is no use to put in the car but has good ancillaries :)

Also my rotor housings arrived today from RHDJapan :)

The box was nicely wrapped too. Uras parts catalogue and these pretty ladies ]http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n314 ... CF1094.jpg[/img]

Also ordered some Dale Clark Viton check valves so combined with a few metres of silicone hose the turbo control system can be upgraded too :)

Gareth - what diameter tubing did you use? 3.5mm?

Cheers,
Alex

Alex. You wont get a good set of 2nd hand twins mate. They will all be fduk'd

get a small single turbo. or get a big single and port the engine.

Thanks G - will crack on and order some.

Hi Scott - would you be able to elaborate? what will be fducked about them?

As you can see from the rest of the thread I'm saving for my wedding as well so porting and a T88 are a little out of my budget ;)

What is it with all us RX7 owners.....none of us seem to have the money at the mo to plough into the car !!!

I think Scott means that buying a secondhand one isnt going to be as good as buying a new one and might last anything between 100 miles and 10k miles. You never really know, but then that is true of all secondhand bits.

T88 is too laggy anyway mate !!

I'd be more inclined to go for a T04E or GT35R than a T88 !!!! Plus they dont necessarily need porting either.

all the twins are 10 years old + mate. the stock twin only has a 5 mm shaft and is quite inefficent. It creates a lot of heat. the shafts dont last long and you cant rebuilf them. I would go for a gt35r or a cheapo 60-1. either will out last a 2nd hand set of twins.
