Welcome mate,
I am on my 2nd Pulsar. Mine is quite tame compared to yours, around 330bhp and 12.8 1/4. 12.3 with 311bhp is amazing. Was it stripped to do that?
I look forward to seeing your beast

I'm on my second too  , The first one put a rod through the block at a 130mph     .

No the car was in full road trim, But I do have the motec launch control.

Mind you you could say it was stripped, because it was stripped of my 20 stone+ fat ar5e from behind the wheel :o :-D , My mate got the 12.3 on a 1.7ft second 60ft time, I got a faster 1.6 second 60ft time, But a slower terminal time of 12.9  .

We are looking into getting some billet steel gearbox casings made at the moment, I can they go dragging properly lol.

Yes i heard the casings split.
Can you not make a stronger alloy one or reinforce it at the weak points as a steel casing will add to the already not ideal front rear weight distibution.
A guy in Norwich is building a monster Gti-r and i think he will need a stronger casing.
I may be interested too.

Well steel doesn't have to be a thick as alloy to give the same if not better strength, We have had a few using braces but it either cracks the casing still or pushes the other end out, Plus steel will flex with out cracking as easily.

I can't see it being much heavier than the alloy one, And to be honest I'll happily take the extra weight over losing casings and expensive gear sets all the time, If we don't solve this problem soon then I wont be dragging mine anymore, I'll just use it for road and track.

But the club chairman is talking to a company in the states who make these stronger casing's for Honda's, So cross your fingers lol.

Bloody hell! There's a blast from the past! The original grumpy old man from the gtir-oc!

I don't think you'll remember me as it's been a while since I've been on there, but I go way back to the days of nad, sirnixalot and even dax. I was Charlie boy, then charlie.

Anyway, nice to see you still have the pulsar!
