it has aircon , but im not using it at the moment as i want to get one or two things done first , first things are : exhaust is blowing so looking for a nice new one and there is a slight leak of oil from rocker cover gasket,

car is completly standard apart from cosmetic mods like sti6 rear spoiler and version 5/6 front bumper and grill. hasn't even got a boost gauge / standard airbox and filter/ exhaust (still has both cats) so im on the lookout for induction filter /full exhaust/ wheels that clear brembos as im in the process of picking up some brembos from gerry

looking forward to letting it breathe more easilly and using it
pics to be posted as soon as i taken some

As I PM'd you, an induction kit won't be of any benefit, other than noise and can screw the MAF if oil gets through. A good panel filter will flow enough for your power levels, probably a touch over 300 BHP and 250 Ft/lbs. Plus, in OE form, it'll be drawing in cold air from the scoop thingy, above the off side headlight, via the resonator. You could remove the resonator so it draws air from the inner wing area.

STi3 has only 1 cat, in the down pipe. The 'lump' in the centre section is a resonator. The way to tell, as they look identical from outside, is a catted centre has a gauze screen that's visible from the down pipe end of the pipe. I fell for that one on the first MOT  so that's how I know.

You'd do well to get, at least, a boost guage fitted. It was over boost, due to oil getting into the wastegate solenoid, that made me realise what potential the car had. It went like a rocket, until it hit fuel cut :o which is not good.

Where's the pics? :D
