Hi,
I have an uprated fuel pump to go on my car, I wont be changing the FPR.
Therefore can I just fit this without having the car mapped ?
Or does it need to be fitted then the car mapped straight away ?

I can't see why a pump would necessitate a remap if you're not adjusting anything else but then I run a games shop and not a tuning one :thumb:

Nope, as long as you stick with the same FPR, and pressure, then you will not need any remapping. That is unless your old pump was running weak at the top end, and dropping pressure, in which case you may end up a little richer in places.

Will the old FPR regulate the pressure well with the increased flow from the new pump?
Not knowing the condition of the FPR it is a question I would be asking myself..... :?:

Hopefully someone can shed some more light on the subject ?

It does need mapping mate, but the closest places to do the mapping is either Brian Ellis near Cheam, WGT at Cheshire, Reworx in Portsmouth or Carl Hayward in Leicester way.dynamix wrote:Gareth - I thought it needed mapping anyway ??
So none of these are close, therefore I wanted to check if it was ok to fit before driving to them ?
