Bye bye Sunny :'(

Post by ValoSunnyGti »

Well just got in from my last journey in my dearest Sunny GTi. I know it isn't anything much but its my first car with over 150bhp. I actually think i might cry tomorrow when it drives away.

Although I am replacing it with another Sunny GTi so all is well :). Still gonna miss it though, was very special to me.

Well here is the new Sunny.
Must say at one point yesterday i was having second thoughts as to whether i had done the right thing or not, i then saw George pull up in this and instantly i thought yes.
A lot nicer to drive than my other one, back down on 15's so the handling is a lot nicer.
A few things that need doing to it, re fit all the fog lights ( although i might fit a different bumper to see what it is like), few patches of rust to sort out.
I also have a front strut bace to fit tonight as well. Getting it booked in with Fast Eddy soon for rear anti roll bar.

Also 5th gear pops out if i try to accelerate, it is fine if im at a steady pace but is i bring the rev's up it pops out. Perhaps Gear Linkage ??? any advice would be wonderful.

Quick note as well is it possible to have this thread moved to the Your Cars / Projects section as I can see this turning into a project.

15's are great, i should have done it long ago. 17's are just for looks.
