Looks good without the spoiler but how has it affected the handling of the car.

I personally prefer the idea of the later spec spoiler, at least test fit it so we can see what it looks like :)

I was kinda hopng everyone wouldnt like it without the spoiler lol.

Will be picking it up today so when the rain stops tonight......IF the rain stops tonight I will try a test fit.

pablo.....apparently without a wing the downforce on the car is significantly reduced but only at high speeds.

That said Alex (Alexb) sent me a message saying that RX7s were tested using no spoiler, a re-am gt one and the new 99 spec one. With the new spoiler it made a huge difference to rear downforce.

Here is a table of info based on the 4 settings of the spoiler.

ANGLE OF ATTACK FRONT DOWN FORCE REDRAWN FORCE
1 deg 0.045 0
5 deg 0.047 -0.025
10 deg 0.051 -0.058
14.5 deg 0.053 -0.075

Edit....the above is formatted perfectly on my post but for some unknown reason it comes up looking odd on here, assume the numbers are under the 3 columns.

Here's the info copied from the original FDUK post:

"just watched an option video and they test an FD with no wing, A type R adjustable wing, and a Re Amemiya GT wing.

They did a lap of Tsukuba. They gave a speed and G force gained round the final, fast, corner and a lap time. Here are the results;

No wing - 102kmh 0.91g 1.10.000

TypeR - 112kmh 1.07g 1.09.417

GT - 117kmh 1.14g 1.08.771

So it seems that a good quality rear wing can make a difference and its nice to see some results that really back that up rather than the general hear say!!"

Dunno if this circuit-related stuff will be relevant for you though mate?! ;)

Cheers for the pics Alex, the pump looks exactly the same...as for the rest of the bits....hmm..not got those !! Will try and find a fitting guide.

Anyway...I test fitted the spoiler, because the weather is crap at the mo I cant take it outside so you'll have to cope with these inside garage pics !!

How evil does this rear end look now ?!!!!!?

Absolutely chuffed !!! And I love it 100 times more than the no spoiler look.
Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow so I can get some good shots of it from the side. Looks weird when looking out the back window.

Loving it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
