OK another question
Having never done this drifting thingy, intentionally that is, what are the most suitable tyres to use? I'm working on the premise that the track will be wet and slippery  and don't want to wreck any tyres [-o< I have a choice of treaded road tyres, 888s or rally slicks.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!

Normal road tyres will be ideal, they have a lower grip level for a novice, they wont aquaplane if its raining or when the track is watered and should be more progressive. Maybe start with higher than normal pressures - say 40psi to begin with and if thats too slippery in the conditions then you can always lower them towards what the car would normally run.
