North Weald, JISC Final and Harrow CC Sprint, 23rd Sept.

Post by ESL »

Hi all

I've been a bit quiet on the Japanese Intermarque Sprint Challenge front what with work being a bit manic, but I'd like a bit of a push for this event.

The main reason for my brother Spencer forming the championship was to encourage people who may not have sprinted before to have a go. We made a set of probans and a helmet available for those that wanted to try before they bought anything so the only costs were the RACMSA licence (

Top man Logan, we've had some good battles this year. Lets take it to the Evos.

That was a nice piece Andy and very well written. Let's hope it encourages a few more to come out and join us at the weekends.

Just to add, North Weald Airfield is one of the safest sprint venues on the calendar with the odd cone being the worst thing to hit. No Armco or tyres to be seen anywhere.

Thanks Gerry and good point. If you fall off at North Weald Spence always says you will run out of fuel before you hit anything.

If anyone wants to try it I have the spare fireproofs and helmet available at the moment for this round.

Or if anyone wants to come to Silverstone to watch us and the 750MC batter each other off the track we have spare tickets.

I will be alright then

Just noticed this on your write up Andy:
Gerry Houghton, a veteran campaigner, come back to the sport, picking up a clutch of trophies.
If you look on Gerry's profile it says he's 21 :o :o :o Good driver for a 21 yr old, looks like he has had a hard up bringing tho

What are you doing, looking up my profile :o

I didn't put an age, it must have assumed I was the young, dashing, cavalier type :smoke:

Anyway, someone has to keep the juveniles in check :-D
