Where's the opening for the fuel to enter the box?

lol - that fills me with confidence :?

The STi solution is the same as this in almost every aspect apart from being more expensive.

Do you have a link for a better pic?

For it to be in the tank it needs to hold sufficient volume for say 4 x 800 cc/min injectors at 25% duty? for the duration of the g force plus a good margin. Plus the filter/suction needs to be fully flooded to prevent starvation.

Say a good corner, like the roundabouts we encounter on sprints, is 10 seconds? Seems an age but probably not that long. 4 x 800 / 25% = 800cc/min / 6 (10 secs) = 133cc of fuel. of course once you hit the apex, the duty will increase, so for that 10sec corner, over half will be at greater duty, so maybe 200cc is required

That's being pumped at a rate of 255L/h or 70cc/sec so in that 10 secs, the pump shifts 700cc of fuel. The pot needs to be sufficiently deep to keep the suction flooded until the fuel level returns, plus 200cc at least.

Of course that could all be cobblers but it makes that box look a bit small.

The Surge Tank has arrived.

Dimensions are 120mm x 65 mm x 95mm

Therefore volume is 741 cc.

It is essentially a baffled rubber surround for the fuel pickup and you probably could knock it together if needed Gerry.

The hole for the fuel to enter is towards the front of the car so hard acceleration or cornering will not drain it.
